Overview

TIQ Time is an automated time tracking and time capture platform built specifically for law firms. It is designed to integrate into fee earners' existing workflows to capture billable and non-billable time with minimal manual input.

Key features and functions include:

Automated Time Capture TIQ Time automatically captures time spent on work activities — including document drafting, emails, meetings, and other tasks — across the tools lawyers use daily. Captured activity data is processed into suggested time entries that users can confirm or edit, available on both web and mobile applications.

Narrative Builder A narrative template feature supports the creation of consistent, high-quality time entry descriptions. Templates can be configured to align with Outside Counsel Guidelines and internal billing standards, and are available in English and all European languages, with spellcheck based on matter language.

Matter Matching The platform includes automated matter matching functionality that associates captured time with the relevant client matters, reducing the administrative burden on fee earners during timesheet completion.

Integrations with Legal Practice and Finance Systems TIQ Time connects with practice management systems, ERP systems, and document management platforms. Pre-built connectors are available for systems including iManage, NetDocuments, SharePoint, Aderant Expert, ELITE 3E, LegalSense, Deltek Maconomy, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, and Oracle, as well as a custom API option.

Microsoft 365 Integration The platform integrates with the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Office 365, enabling time capture from within the tools fee earners use day-to-day.

Reporting and Analytics TIQ Time includes reporting tools for lawyers, partners, and finance teams. Individual daily reporting is available for fee earners to track targets, and customizable Power BI reports are available for firm-level analysis and completeness checks.

User Provisioning and Authentication The platform supports user provisioning and multi-factor authentication via Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), including Conditional Access policies. Microsoft Authenticator is supported for mobile authentication.
