by SMI Aware

Overview

SMI Aware is a managed social media and open-source (OSINT) discovery service designed for use in litigation, investigations, and legal risk assessment. The service combines purpose-built technology driven by full-time analysts who locate, document, and preserve publicly available online information in a format suitable for legal scrutiny.

Key Features & Functions:

Social Media Deep Report
An in-depth review of a subject's scope-related online activity across nearly 600 social media and open-source platforms. Results are verified against at least three instances of personal identifiers, embedded with source code and metadata, and delivered as a downloadable PDF, CSV, or JSON file. Reports are structured to support authentication under the Federal Rules of Evidence.

Export
A preservation report that captures and archives the content of a single social media profile or target URL. The Export produces a visual PDF capture, preserves the digital chain of custody through timestamped HTML source code, and retains images and videos as JPEG and MP4 files upon request.

Research Bundle
A combined package consisting of one Social Media Deep Report and up to three Exports, providing both comprehensive discovery and secure preservation in a single order.

Real-Time Jury Selection
Analyst-conducted research on potential jurors during the voir dire process. Analysts review juror presence across major online platforms within court-imposed time frames to surface demographic information, stated beliefs, and potential red flags.

Monitoring
Ongoing surveillance of a specific account for new content or changes, delivered on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule.

Additional Services
Supplemental offerings include Report Refresh (re-running a Deep Report within six months of the original order), expedited turnaround requests, and a notarized affidavit service to support evidentiary use of findings.

API Integration
An API connection is available to support workflow and case-management system integration.
